SUMMARY:Dinner and Film night at the Seasoned Spoon
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Seasoned Spoon Café at Trent University on Tuesday\, November 24\, from 5–8 pm for a Community Meal and Film Night. \nThe evening will begin with a community meal featuring food from Trent University’s Vegetable Gardens\, which combine food growing with a community service focus. Farms at Work will share information about its Peterborough Community Farm project and its work to support local food and farming. \nFollowing dinner\, enjoy a screening of a short film from a series called Farming With Intention by local filmmaker Kait Howell. The screening will be followed by a conversation about the role of community gardens in strengthening local food security and food sovereignty\, as well as the stories and people behind local food growing. \nCome share a meal\, watch a local film\, and connect with others who care about community food\, local farms and a more resilient regional food system. \nEvent Details \n\nDate: Tuesday\, November 24\, 2026\nTime: 5–8 pm\nLocation: The Seasoned Spoon Café\, Trent University\, Peterborough\nHosted by: The Seasoned Spoon Café\, in collaboration with Farms at Work\nRegistration not required\nFees: The dinner is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis\, with an optional donation to Farms at Work encouraged.\n\nEveryone is welcome!
